The photos are all very attractive, which actually ads so much more than one might think. I really like Ouino, and think the potential it has for expanding can potentially make it phenomenal. Ouino is a great adult-oriented app, but, like Duo, just an aid. That said, there is a lot I dislike about Duolingo, it has some clear agenda issues I am in clear opposition to, it is very immature in many ways. A lot of “professional” reviews make it very clear to me that the reviewers never really used Duolingo. I find university level books much easier than novels, but that may just ve my head.Īnyway, I speak pretty fluently on any subject I am familiar with as well as small talk, and Duolingo is way more helpful than naysayers claim. I use Duolingo daily, but I have also gone through the original 4 levels of Pimsleur, got partway into Rosetta Stone level 4 until my computer stopped working, I have worked through a number of workbooks and watch series on Netflix and Prime in Spanish as well as reading books (so far on theology, history, philosophy and spirituality). At present, the tree, for me, is divided into 9 sections and I am on section 4:Trailblazer.
